Born independent in 1947, at Thyamagondlu, Bangalore Rural District, Education: B.Sc., (1965); B.L. (1969); LL.M-Specialization: Industrial and Administrative Laws (1983) from Bangalore University. Took up Practice of Law in 1973 and practiced in Bangalore Bar till 1978. Jointed State Judiciary in 1978. Worked as Munsiff and Judicial Magistrate First Class (1978-1986). Worked as Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate (1986-1992). Taken on deputation to Department of Law and Parliamentary Affairs in 1992. Absorbed in the Department of Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation as Assistant Draftsman and Ex-officio Deputy Secretary to Government in May 1996. Promoted as Additional Draftsman and Ex-officio Additional Secretary in the same year, in July. Now working as Secretary to Government, Department of Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation on promotion since June 2004. Hobbies: Philosophy, poetry and instrumental music.”
